Introduction

Twin-screw motor vessel "Shalako" was designed by Ed Monk and Associates from Seattle in the USA. She was built by Alex Baxter Boat Builders, finished by Nick Rodokal in Whangarei and launched in April 1979.

The charter boat is powered by two 3208ta Caterpillar V8 engines delivering 375hp each. She cruises at 10.5 knots and has a maximum speed of 23 knots. Overall she is 14.6m long and displaces 22 tonnes.
