I have run Shalako for nine years as a charter venture, and it is now time to retire to the Tutukaka coast and fish for myself. Two Americas Cup regattas and countless hours later I am selling the operation as a going concern or as a private treaty. Payment is not the issue, just time for myself. On payment of a deposit or trade, I am happy to leave money on security of the boat or other real estate and have it paid off.

"Shalako" is a twin-screw motor vessel, designed by Ed Monk and Associates from Seattle in the USA. She was built by Alex Baxter Boat Builders, finished by Nick Rodokal in Whangarei and launched in April 1979. She is a little ship, strongly built in double diagonal kauri and glassed over. Repainted in 2006 she has just passed her four yearly survey for charter. A unique boat that cant be compared to fibreglass production vessels, Shalako is a boat to take pride in.
